Image Guidelines

Please read the following carefully before attaching your image for checkout. If you have any questions about what images(s) you may submit, please don’t hesitate to reach out through our contact form or email us!

Image Details

We always strive to do the best we can with the images provided. However, the better the image quality, the better the painting. For a detailed painting the image MUST be clear with a high level of details. After all, we can't paint what we can't see!

Lighting

It is very important to make sure the image you submit is bright and clear enough for us to paint. Please make sure your image is bright enough for us to see details, but not too bright that the details are washed out.

Subject Positioning

We will paint the exact image you provide. If you are wanting a portrait, for example, make sure to get the perfect angle of the animal/person.

The best way to get a great photo for a portrait is to hold the camera at, or just above, the eye level of the person/animal being photographed.

Size Matters

Yes, size matters for micro paintings.

It's simple - the larger the piece, the more details we can paint! For most images, we can not paint on sizes smaller than 5/8".

If you are not sure, here is a quick guide:

1/2" to 5/8" - Good for small designs with limited detail (flowers, eye, simple landscapes)

3/4" to 7/8" - Good for medium designs with some details (simple animals like birds, detailed landscapes)

1" - 1 1/4" - Good for larger designs with complex details (human or animal portraits, complex landscapes)

Choose the size that best fits your design and what you want to accomplish. If you have any questions, please email us or fill out the contact form. We will do our best to give you exactly what you want!

Be Specific

If you are wanting ANY specific details added or taken away from your painting, make sure to add your design comments BEFORE checking out.

In your cart there is a box labeled "Order Special Instructions", this is where you add comments for your painting. It is not required to add comments, but it is preferred for a streamline process. We will contact you if there are questions or problems with your image/order.

Examples:

"I want to just paint the dogs head, no background"
